Solving Swiping

To Swipe or not To Swipe

Mobile search presents specific experience challenges in of itself. A common search and save user paradigm has become to ‘swipe’ or gesture in one direction or another in order to ‘save’ (yes) a result, or ‘reject’ (no) for any given scenario.  Be it jobs, dating, shopping, networking, etc.

In most circumstances, particularly when the task is not a known-item, searchers don’t necessarily understand the best keywords to render the best results and often times require more intelligent pathing from a ‘swipe save’ experience that would guide them towards better decision making and the confidence to take action.

There are several methods our team developed in order to provide happier job search ‘swipers’, and happier employers that were able to validate  mobile platform job search swipes and applies with gesture based conversion metrics.
